VIII. ACADEMIC HONESTY POLICY
When speaking to move mountains, it takes time. As members of The Nepalm University Network Unlimited, we place a high value on truth and the pursuit of knowledge. Participants are expected to be honest in every phase of their academic life and to present as their own work only that which is genuinely theirs. Unless otherwise specified by the Instructor, students must complete assignments by themselves (or if on a team project & with only their team members). If they receive outside assistance of any kind, they are expected to cite (list)the source and indicate the extent of assistance. Each student has the responsiblity to maintain the highest standard of integity and to refrain from dishonesty in thought or deed.
Your attendance and participation in the course will account for 20% of your final grade. Although this may seem a small price to pay for missing class, but it can mean the difference between passing and failing. You are responsible for the materials that are covered during your absence. There will be no distinction made between "unexcused" or "excused" absences. Since we are only meeting online, one absence requires that you contact me directly to discuss your reasons behind missing the class and make up whatever you missed. Part of your grade will include participation in various discussions, 1 or 2 questions from the week's reading assignments posted for each student to answer, and replying to at least 2 of your classmates. These Question and Answer Sessions are a great way to help you prepare for the midterm, final, and the rest of your life.
Each opportunity you take advantage of to access this wealth of information will provide you with information and instructions on how to be successful in accomplishing goals. Students are expected to be mindful of the Core Values when submitting work, interviewing outside resources, independent study, and when working in groups. You are encouraged to participate by integrating your views with multiple viewpoints from other sources, while taking in consideration both class readings & other participant's postings into your discussion of the topic at hand.
