Workshop Details
In my one-on-one and group sessions, I cover an array of topics that all have outside resources which can be provided (at request) for further research, like how to be a leader, the basics of financial education, and discovering your calling. While other topics include creating revenue, managing money, and living on your own, each seminar can be pre-designed to fit a specific themed event. For example, there are training workshops for area jobs connected to the film industry are available in the entry-level fields such as photography, television and journalism that can assist participants in recognizing the skills needed to start and run a business.
I take the time in these sessions to educate our participants on how to taking responsibility can build character. I also teach that discipline is the key to self-control. They will come away with a few specific techniques that they will be able to implement into their daily routines and teach to others.
I address why certain crimes are committed and how we can organize our resources to help those who may feel like they have no alternatives. I have also developed session material around avoiding violence, bullying, peer-pressure, conflict resolution and staying in school.
Consequently, they walk away understanding:
*One must apply action behind their decisions in order to be successful in life
*The past does not determine the future, especially if one can learn from the mistakes of others
*One can handle peer-pressure without giving in and still be strong in the face of adversity
I also provide exercises during these sessions to teach participants how to apply these tools and become successful in their own lives by:
*Explaining the importance of organizing by developing groups that will accomplish designated goals
*Through leading by example, we teach that by assisting in their communities as a team, they can become future leaders & more productive members of society
